Jakarta, SenayanTalks – While the Samsung Galaxy S25 series has yet to make its debut, speculation about its successor, the Samsung Galaxy S26, is already making waves in online tech news. A variety of trusted sources indicate that this new series will be more than just an annual update; it’s rumored to be a significant leap forward, particularly in the realms of artificial intelligence and mobile photography.

Based on Samsung’s consistent launch cycle, the Galaxy S26 series is widely expected to be unveiled at a Galaxy Unpacked event in early 2026, likely in February or March. The naming convention is predicted to remain the same, with the top-tier model being the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The strongest rumor circulating is that Samsung will position artificial intelligence as the central feature of the Galaxy S26. The phone is rumored to be powered by a next-generation chipset, either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 or the Exynos 2600, both designed to handle on-device generative AI tasks. This would allow AI features to operate faster and more efficiently without needing an internet connection. Analysts predict that Samsung will introduce even more advanced AI capabilities, such as the ability to edit videos in real-time and create complex visual content with simple voice commands.

A massive leap in photography

For smartphone photography enthusiasts, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to bring a major innovation. Samsung is rumored to be upgrading its main camera sensor to a higher resolution, possibly over 200MP, to capture extraordinary detail. Furthermore, the periscope zoom lens is expected to be significantly improved, enabling users to take clear and sharp photos from an unprecedented distance. The entire camera system will also be supported by a smarter Galaxy AI, capable of automatically optimizing every shot and offering more intuitive editing features.

Premium design

The design is also the subject of much discussion. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to continue using premium materials like Titanium, which offers a durable and high-end feel. While the “Edge” name is unlikely to return, the Ultra model is predicted to maintain its signature curved screen. For longevity, the phone is rumored to feature a larger battery and faster charging technology.

All of this information remains speculative and is based on leaks circulating widely in the media. However, if these rumors hold true, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is poised to set a new standard in the smartphone market and become a formidable competitor to other flagship products.
